Good morning

My windshield washer lines inside the hood have come loose. Perhaps a 90° elbow popped out, Possibly frozen and busted, unsure.

My driver side nozzle was just trickling and nothing from the passenger side. Got a low washer light. Filled the resi and tried the washers with the hood open, fluid poured out of the hood on the passenger side.

Does anybody know the easiest way or the proper way to access the lines and nozzles inside the hood? Or does anybody have a diagram of the layout?

Can you pull the hood liner to gain access? I feel like when I put the under-hood lights in that you could see the windshield washer lines. Might not be able to get to them I can’t really remember, but if you pull the liner down be prepared to break at least one of the fasteners.

The windshield washer lines are fastened to the hood underside. You have to take the hood liner loose or down to get access. As Darkone said, the liner fasteners are a pain to remove. I tried several fastener removers, the only one that worked was this type of Fastener removal tool

Best case scenario, just a hose pushed off. I used a zip tie to hopefully prevent future disengagement.

I broke all the clips i removed (4) i reused them until I find replacements but they aren’t tight fitting anymore.

Hindsight but I would have replaced them with inserts and 1/4 turn fasteners.

That said, my POS liner is held on at the rear hood edge where there are no holes with bailing wire because the tabs don't' stay in the slots - some moron designed this liner setup.

That sounds like a good idea. If others have this issue maybe we need to come up with an upgrade.

I ordered some that looked exactly like what you've pictured. I returned them as they were too small for the hood's holes. Sorry, I've looked but can't find what I ended up ordering.
I had better luck than you did with the Amazon parts. They’re slightly different in texture but they’re exactly right in size and function.

FYI, as stated above, I would consider the clips to be “one time use”. the clips I reused were not holding the liner snugly at all. The new clips are much more secure.

this repair is complete for now. Hope this helps someone in the future

I ended up using contact cement on the rear edge. Got tired of the damn thing hanging down. It would have been so easy to use the button fasteners there as well, but then it would take some guy on the the line three seconds more to install it.

Every single one of mine was apart as well. I don’t think it was from the cp4 recall. But maybe. I had to re set both under the liner and the one at the drivers side hinge.
