I checked the box for adaptive steering not knowing what it really does, I know my bad. From what I'm reading it's supposed to make steering easier. I plan or planned on 35's or most likely 37's with a small lift or level and am curious if anybody is running larger tires with the adaptive steering option without any problems or having problems ?

That option was available the first night I brought my truck home. The next day the software in the uConnect updated and I have not seen the option since.

Pretty sure it provides extra assist at low speed. My buddy with a 2018 noticed the difference right away when he drove my truck. He said no difference at highway speeds. Don't recall seeing it as an option in U-Connect.

Had a 2019 PW without and now have a 2022 PW with adaptive steering. Ran 35" BFG ATs on both trucks.

While I never felt that the steering in the 19 was anything but fine, the first time you drive around a parking lot with the AS is eye opening. Much easier to turn the wheel at slow speed...more akin to a F150 than a 2500.

At highway speed, there is no discernable difference. In my opinion, if it proves to be reliable in the long term, it is among the best $300 you can spend on options.

100% agree. It’s amazing how well it works. It’s so easy to crank the wheel from full left to full right lock at a walking speed (like when you’re backing up a trailer and making corrections).

My truck is less than 2 months old. with about 2800 miles on the clock, so I cannot offer any feedback yet on long term reliability.

I have a 3-1/2” lift with 37” tires and AS and it steers noticeably easier than my 2 door Jeep with the same size tires. I agree with AMDPSU, slow speed steering feels like a 1/2 ton truck on stock size tires.

Adaptive steering is fantastic to have when you drive slow and maneuver trailers or through a parking lot, barely takes more effort than a finger to move. I think it is easier than my bother's 2020 1500 to turn the wheel even with that heavy engine in front. It does take some getting used to though and when you drive a vehicle without it you really miss it.

Thanks to all forum members ! Your input has made me feel a whole lot better for ordering something I knew nothing about until your posts started coming in.

things like this make my head hurt…an option now, standard later. And, the complication/entry level price grows inexorably…..

I too absolutely love the adaptive steering. my 99 f350 would struggle to put my 5er on the side of my house with the entry I have. this 22 3500 drw is soo nice I have no issues other than making sure I clear thw telephone pole. amazing reccomend it to anyone ordering or buying the HD ram
