Hey all,

Took delivery of my 19 2500 Limited a couple of weeks ago and still learning all there is to learn about this awesome truck. I was watching a video about the bed divider/extender last night and realized that the 4 twist bolts that go on either side of the bed on the inside are not there, the holes are capped off. Did they come in a separate bag somewhere that I missed or are they aftermarket and have to be purchased?

Thanks.

Do you have the RamBox bed divider extender? If the answer is yes then RAM stopped that due to a Federal regulation.

It appears as though you can still buy the parts to make it happen - another thread says no difference between 4th and 5th gen on these parts.

For the bottom two holes - 68054997AB (Grommet, pivot joint)
For the top two holes - 68054996AA (Handle, swivel release)

These are Mopar part numbers.

There are multiple people who have mentioned it to the dealer and the dealer paid for and installed the parts, but since FCA has updated the literature to no longer show the "bed extender" and noted the federal regulation related to being able to see both taillights it may come down to you paying for them.

It's around $80-90 shipped and less than 10 minutes of work.

I can confirm this worked on my 2020 using the part numbers listed. Due to a shipping snafu, I also have a spare set of the 68054997AB grommet pivot joints I could part with if someone wants them.

Still have them?

I traded my 2019 RAM Classic in for a 2022 Ram Rebel. I have the bed divider but just found out (from this site) that I can't use it as an extender. I don't have the hardware (grommets & Handles) for it. Will the parts listed below work for a "new" body as opposed to the Classic?

Can someone please explain the difference in the 2 part numbers? 68054996AA & 68054997AB. When I search the same image appears. Thanks

Look at the picture (or read the post right above yours), 1 is part 12 (the swivel release handle) and 1 is part 13 (the fixed grommet). You need 2 of each.

Sorry for the ignorance! Every time I googled the part numbers, it returned pictures of all 4 pieces (2 x part 12 & 2 x part 13). Clearly, the pictures returned were of the whole kit. Thank you for clearing this up!

Congrats on the new 2500 Limited! I had the same question when I got mine. Those bed extender bolts should come with the truck, usually in a separate bag with the user manual and other accessories. Check your glovebox or under the rear seats; they might be hiding there. If not, you can always get them at shops like scrooz.com.au. Enjoy your awesome truck!
@PerryShark shark

Why are you posting a link to an au site?

Seems awful spammy to me.
