Ordered a 2020 crew cab long bed earlier in the week. I’m coming from a 2018 1500 so this extra bed space will be heaven! Anyone have any driving experience with their drivability? Oh and of course, show off those land yachts with some pics!!!!

No pics of my truck on this computer. I've been driving crew-cab long beds for 20+ years so I really don't have an issue driving them. You'll learn really quick what parking lots are a go, and which are not. I end up parking a nice long walk while at Costco and Cabelas. Not sure why Cabelas built a lot up here that doesn't work well for pickups. One of my businesses is a lumber yard, a short bed just doesn't work well for me.

what size tires are those.

Flare install last week as well.
I’ll never go back to a short box even though I hated the look before I opted for my first one due to 5th wheel hauling.

Bed isn't long, but the same frame. I don't really notice any driveability issues. I wish I had a long bed too. I called about getting the longed conversion, but at $8k, I am not sure it's worth it.IMG_4076.jpeg

Mega Cab is actually 11" shorter than a Crew Cab Long Bed.

Crew Cab Long bed is 260.8" long with a wheelbase of 169".
MegaCab is 249.9" long with a wheelbase of 160.4".

Frames are also obviously very different since the cab mounts and bed lengths, wheelbase and total length are all different. The last gen Crew Cab Long Beds were also longer. If you are looking to tow then the Crew Cab is a better choice because the wheelbase is 9" longer but also because you don't need a slider to tow a fifth wheel. That's what my current truck is a Crew Cab Long Bed but I'm looking to order a dually since my current 3500 is a SRW.

In city parking in tiny spot is more difficult but everything else is a joy rideA7F33B90-CF84-4EA5-880E-9906943AE73F.jpeg

Very nice, almost went that color on the Power Wagon but stuck with my old stand by Granite Crystal. How'd the Transforce tires hold up in the sand?

Last good pic of the old gal before the new truck arrives (ETA NLT 3/9/20).
