Wheels with offset?

I'm wanting to order some wheels, I'm told the factory chrome clad wheels I have come with an offset of +40mm. The aftermarket wheels are +18mm. Is 22mm difference going to cause bearing premature wear or damage other components as I plan on towing a boat and a fifth wheel frequently?

Thanks!

As you may know, width of the wheel plays a role in how offset becomes a factor. Are your new wheels the same width as the factory chrome ones?

The wheels are 8.5", I believe the factory are 8". I keeping factory size tires.

My opinion is that a +18 on a 8.5 will be fine and bearings and components will be minimally affected. Probably no more than stock. Increased widths to 12's, 14's and 16's will make for a different answer.
