I’ve searched through the forum with no luck.

Does anyone know of a programmer to plug into the truck to reset the tire size to a larger size for the odometer?

I saw the HyperTech, it pulling the dash apart seems to be a little overkill to me.

Thank!

Lots of folks here are using AlfaOBD or JScan.

I have AlfaOBD but will also be getting JScan since it works on my iphone. I believe AlfaOBD can do more, but for basic stuff JScan seems perfect.

You will also need a Bluetooth or Wifi (depending on platform and app) OBDII reader, as well as a security module bypass harness.

Anything showing pulling the dash/cluster/EVIC for an HD is wrong.

The 1500's can use a bypass module or Y-cable bypass to plug into the Security Gateway Module (SGM) that's below the steering column and behind the kick panel.

The HD truck's SGM is behind the instrument cluster (EVIC).

The solution is to use a bypass cable that plugs into the CAN bus blocks that are above the parking brake pedal and behind the headlight switch.

KAOdTech is one such cable, you could also PM member jimmy07 to get one built.

Current recommended (quality) OBDII reader in this thread.
