I'm sure the answer to this is on here somewhere, but I've lurked and searched and didn't quite find what I was looking for. I'm debating on which level I want. I know the consensus is Thuren or Carli, but that might have to come down the road. But back to my question. Is anyone running a 2" level on their HD Hemi? Mine is on order and I keep going back and forth with the Zone 2" vs other 2.5"ers. My last Big Horn half ton had a 2.5" and looked to be the slightest bit nose high. I was curious if anyone has had the same issue with the HD. I appreciate your input.

How timely is your question and my ability to contribute. I have a Megacab Hemi with ramboxes that tend to be heavier than a standard box and crewcab thus giving a more compressed ride height.
Save your money....buy Thuren.
I installed this weekend a 2"/1" Thuren spring/IFP shock kit with trackbar. The stance increased (before any settling that may occur over time) the following:
Measurements center hub to bottom of the fender flare:
Front: 27" (2 1/4" gain)
Rear: 27.5" (1/2" gain)

I know that I may want their spacer kit when running loaded, but right now, I run empty 90% of the time.

I am very happy with Chris @Thuren and his help and timely responses when trying to align this relatively unique truck that is lighter in the front (Hemi) and heavier in the back (Rambox) and the Mega just pushing everything down.

If you can wait until you get your actual truck and measure for yourself, you may be happier with the result in the end. Not all trucks have exactly the same stance when delivered from the factory, even with identical option packages, so if you order based on someone else's measurements, you may end up very happy or may end up wishing you'd gone a different route.

You’re lucky you posted this before you purchased anything.. curious which way you went? I usually shoot first.. then ask questions.. I went ahead and purchased the Carli 2.5”.. getting it installed next week.. now I’m looking at adding a 1” spacer or getting the Thuren 2” front Coils to give it a little rake (I’m not a fan if a truck looks nose high).. i measured my truck.. 2.5” front makes it dead level.. (crew cab tradesman)
Anyway let me know which way you went..
thanks

The truck still hasn’t been delivered so I haven’t pulled the trigger on anything yet. I’m eyeing the Bilstein set up, I just hate to throw out perfectly good, unused bilstiens that come from the factory with the off road package. I say that, however, without much knowledge of the 5100s. If they will better the ride, than it may be worth the investment.

My last truck sat a bit nose high empty and it bugged me, however, i will be installing rear airbags on this one so if I have to add a few psi to level, I’m fine with that since they can’t run empty anyways.

Thanks for all the input. Keep it coming. This is my first HD so it’s uncharted territory.

Got the Carli 2.5 installed. Nightmare at the shop that did everything wrong.. getting it sorted out.. it sits perfectly level (i always have a couple hundred pounds in the bed) still sits as level and in no way does it look nose high.. (factory coils in rear) completely transforms the truck.. 37s look perfect!!

Bilstein 5100s are very similar to the 4600s (the stock yellow and blue ones) but are typically only available in lengths longer than stock(designed for lifts). That said they are typically a bit stiffer than the 4600s to compensate for typically more aggressive driving (offroad) and larger(heavier) tires.

I did the Carli, love it.

I amazed how nice the ride is!! Cushy & smooth. Truck doesn’t feel much bigger either.. this is the first time I’ve lifted/leveled a truck and actually improved the on road feel/comfort.. truck rides like a caddy.. it’s a cowboy caddy

In regard to 46 vs 5100, a while back I inquired with Bilstein and they said they are “tuned” for a lifted application.

“Thank you for contacting Bilstein. 5100 series, part # 24-268639 is for a 2-2.5” lift. I would not recommend it if you are at stock ride height. Our 4600 series shocks are our best riding and driving truck shocks, we always recommend the 4600 if it is a stock height vehicle. The B8 5100 is longer and tuned for a lifted application. Neither series shock is more durable or better than the other. Thank you.”
