What is the process to get a truck shipped from the dealer?

I am having second thoughts about flying to Mark Dodge in January, or whenever my new 2500 shows up there, and driving it 2,800 miles home to Wash state.

For those of you who have had your truck shipped home, if I decide to have MD ship it up to me, is that something I need to work out with MD before the truck arrives? Can I have it shipped to any town, or do they ship to major cities or shipping hubs only?

Just trying to get my ducks in a row on this one. I still have a few months as I just recently placed the factory order.

Your salesperson at MD can arrange it for you. Or find a shipping company/broker to do it instead.

I think they put out bids to deliver, and select the cheapest one for you.

My dealer in TX took care of everything for me. I am sure MD would do it for you. Dealers are moving cars all the time so I am sure they have haulers they are comfortable with. I was given the right of refusal if there was any damage. My choice to either take delivery and have it repaired here at their cost or return it to them. I worked into my deal but I think the going rate was around $800. But that was back in September 2020 when fuel was a lot more inexpensive.

One other thing. I had my Sirius Guardian already set up by the dealer. I was able to track it using the Uconnect app. I watched it stop at several other dealers on the way out to SoCal. LOL
