I'm curious what is supposed to fit in the circled hole. I'm also wondering what the rectangular plastic cover pointed to by the arrow is for since that hole simply appears uncovered on the other side.

Do you know if the wiring is already in-place? I haven't ordered my Bakflip cover yet but it would be nice to have lights under there when I do.

No but there's a factory OEM upgrade kit available.

The wiring was in place for my 2018, but not sure on my 2022 as I ordered it with the lights.

My 22 Laramie did not have the wiring pre-installed. I bought the kit and installed it. The configuration has to be enabled in the computer to make them function. Factory instructions attached.

Don't feel bad. I was pissed with the new truck because it had no place for my sunglasses. Finally someone pointed it out. Duh.
