What does a Limited have over a similarly configured Laramie to justify the extra $5k?

I will be ordering a 2023 CC LB 4x4 in the near future to replace my 2016 Laramie. Similar (identical?) specs between the 2023 Laramie and the Limited, yet the Limited is $4,885 (MSRP) more expensive. Is the only difference the interior materials? I've tried to get a better handle on this but can find little in the way of specifics. Only difference I see is the Limited defaults to power steps (N/C substitute to painted full-length), and the rubber mats are included in the Limited. Any insight or thoughts appreciated!

Here are the two builds, Laramie first:

Headlights and grille are different, the top of the steering wheel is "wood" other than that not much, they seem to have more of a spread in price now, IIRC, on my '22 it was only about 3k more for a limited over a similar Laramie, the seat materials and headlights were worth it for me, but 5k more is quite a jump

Edit: one other reason is that when I placed my order Ram was stripping options from the laramies and the only way to get them was to go with a limited/longhorn

Ltd/Ltd Longhorn come with several things standard that are options or not available on the Laramie.
-uConnect with Nav standard
-The full center console standard
-Nicer wheels standard
-The leather and otherwise upgraded interior.
-Radar cruise control, lane keep assist, more camera options

I don't have a full list, but it's bigger than what I put. Worth an extra $5K? That's between you and your wallet. I just upgraded from a loaded 18 Laramie to a loaded 22 Ltd Longhorn. The Laramie was a very nice truck and I'd be happy to still be driving it. But I do appreciate the additional bells and whistles my LL has too.

Thanks! I'll spend some more time with the "Group Detail" charts in the Code Guide. I'll see if I can convert it to an excel format to make it easier to compare.

Premium Leather seating, dash, door cards, center console, leather wrapped grab handles, shifter (diesel), etc.
Wood/leather wheel, "wood" accents
(?) LED ambient lighting
Signature LED Directional Projector LED headlights
20" Bright Chrome or NE Wheels
Grille
(More Standard tech package items)
Blind Spot with Cross Traffic detection
Front/Rear ParkSense (Laramie must be optioned for front)
Rain-sensitive wipers
12" UC5
12" Digital Dash (EVIC)
Rambox (no credit for delete)
Bedliner
Bed utility group (lighting)
Trailer-tow, power/heated/puddle/turn/running/memory/power-folding/power-convex/trailer spotter light (chrome; included with BSM6 and Surround-View Camera System7)
Remote Tailgate release
In-floor storage boxes
Seat/pedal memory
Power Adjust pedals

You can't get a hemi in a Limited.

Some of the above is from memory for 2022, so if anythign is incorrect, I welcome a fact check. ;-)

Unless it changed in recent years, when I ordered my 19 LTD I got a credit for RAM box, wanted the bed space

When I was building my truck, a Laramie with all the options that come standard on LTD was actually a bit more expensive than the LTD and still there was no option to get real leather seats in Laramie.

Most of the features on a limited are optional for a Laramie. The only things I personally know of that you can't get on a Laramie are the nicer headlights, better leaher, and upgraded ambient lighting. The full console, safety features can all be added to a Laramie.

Having real leather seats is huge for me. I want the smell, I like the look and the durability of the leather.

I don’t want to replace my seats down the road and leather will last. I’ll treat and clean them regularly.

I also dislike the Laramie seats and trim inside. The wood grain trim in the limited looks stunning. Limited is just next level inside and that is worth 5k any day on an $80-90k truck.

As other has posted you get the head lights, premium interior if you compare a limited/Longhorn vs a Laramie there is definitely a different feeling when you step into it and also you can say you have the top of the line and that’s worth something to some people!

Post it if you get it in excel. It would be interesting to look at.

Coming from a loaded up 18 2500 Laramie to a loaded up 22 2500 LL, I'd have to disagree a little. The Laramie interior on mine looked very much like a LL/Ltd. Yes, the seats were only leather trimmed, but they look like they are all leather and were very comfortable. My new LL seats felt the same to me on the 500 mile drive home. Actually, they were maybe a touch less comfortable, but I figure the leather needs to break in. My Laramie had the full console, sunroof, air suspension, bigger uConnect system, Ramboxes, Megacab, etc.. There are some nice trim differences in the LL for sure and some options I didn't have in the Laramie. But a loaded up Laramie is really not that far from a Ltd/LL. However, as noted above, by the time you add all that stuff, you are in Ltd/LL territory on price anyway.

The biggest reasons I went LL instead of Laramie is I wanted the two-tone leather seats, the LED headlights and some of the safety features that were not available on the Laramie when I placed my order. The reason I didn't go straight Ltd is I didn't want the harsher riding 20" tires. Can't get 18's on a Ltd.

Just the facts, Ma'am... after a fair bit of wonky work in excel, here is the definitive (I believe) apples to apples set of things you get with a Limited trim vs. Laramie with all the option packages checked (A66/A67, etc.). Essentially, as was noted on one of the previous responses: Bi-function headlights, Interior upgrades, Grill, different wheels, nicer floor mats. This is derived from the 3500 Code Guide PDF.

+ Cummins has a leather wrapped shifter knob.

You also can no longer get power running boards on the Laramie, or the digital rear view mirror.

Thanks for the additional clarifications! I was just going by the 09/20/2022 version of the ordering chart. Perhaps when the 2023 brochures come out, all will be clear :-)

It's interesting that the table with "STANDARD EQUIPMENT (UNLESS REPLACED BY OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT)" doesn't include things like MY7 - power running boards, and I'm sure some other stuff as well.

The upgraded full leather seats, the availability of the Indigo/Frost interior (instead of boring black), the automatic running boards and an overall classier look.
