Well, It Seems I Finally Have A New Truck

I ordered a '22 Ram 3500 SRW CC Laramie HO w/HD Aisin in May of 2022 and received it November, 2022. The front driveshaft went goofy in December and the K1 failed in June, not to mention the ever present grid heater relay recall.

In the space of about the last 3 weeks all 3 problems have been warranty-repaired and, 14,000 miles later, I finally have a (mostly) new truck. I really do like this vehicle, it has a lot of great amenities, is comfortable to drive, and performs above my expectations in every way. Heck, I even got pulled over last week for doing 80 when I romped on it to get around a slow poke merging onto the freeway! The CHiP let me off with a warning as he understood what I was doing (and perhaps a little professional courtesy as well). I have some nice add-ons that fit well my lifestyle and conservative old coot persona, but have my eye on a few others now that I have a little more confidence that this truck is in its intended form.

It is rather disheartening to experience all of these problems with a very expensive new truck, and it is a nasty black eye to the Ram brand and Stellantis. I hope they have their multiple issues figured out, or are getting them figured out. I am even more hopeful that everyone on here who is experiencing these and other problems gets them rectified to their satisfaction in as timely a manner as mine have been. We'll see what effect time and miles have on this truck, but I'll use it as if it's every bit as good as the numerous Ram/Jeep vehicles we've owned over the past few decades. Good luck to all of you.

K1?
Is there a way to tell if the grid heater tela has actually been changed? I had brought my 2500 in for other issues and at that time I was told I was still waiting on parts. Now today I noticed on my ram page that it shows completed? I called the dealer and he said it was done when I had it in. With no part?
He didn’t say it had been done when I picked it up.
Hum I have all kinds of problems trusting theses guys. Is there a way to look at it and visually see it has been replaced? Is it different

The K1 snap ring is related to the HD Aisin transmission. That transmission is an option for 3500's so it won't affect your 2500. The new GHR is different from the old one, but only slightly. Unless you had them both to compare you'd likely not be able to tell the difference. I watched my tech change it in about 7 minutes so it's quite possible they swapped it out for you when they got one in. It seems the GHR's are becoming more available as time goes by, but I don't know how you'd double-check if your dealer is truthful other than to talk to the tech who actually did the work. It sucks, but sometimes you have to take someone at their word.

Thanks.
I really have no reason not to trust them other than the fact that when I brought it in he said I was still on the list 6 weeks out. I never left the shop and took it home two hours later. Just surprised me to see it listed as completed when I was told there weren’t parts yet. Btw my dealer won’t let you in the shop to watch.
Guess I trust I’m good to go now. Hope it don’t burn down my house. Lol

Man, I wish I had a couple of pics for you to compare what's bolted onto your engine. Other than removing the air intake duct it's pretty accessible.

This is supposed to be the upgraded relay.
