Water in Fuel light

I I’m new to the diesel world and am reading the manual about the dangers of getting water in the fuel. I also noticed on my truck that the WIF light comes on very briefly as part of the start-up process. Is this just a normal light check/test or does it mean that I could already have water with just 450 miles on the truck?

Normal for it to check all lights on start up , it will stay on if you actually have water in the fuel filter sensor.
