This is the TLDR version, but I had my center console swapped to a jump seat by my dealer. Now, the media hub does not work. There is no power to any of the four USB ports. The dealership is saying that there must be some other harness we need but for some reason they can’t find the part number. Honestly this doesn’t make any sense to me because there was the same media hub in the center console under the screen as there is now under the screen.
it’s really frustrating because the dealer never told me there would be a loss of features after the swap. After I picked it up I discovered it and then the service department started giving me the run around about how I need a “special harness” that no one can find a part number for. It doesn’t make sense to me because it looks like it should be plug and play. Even using the hub from the previous center console no longer works when plugged in.
Truck is a 2022 3500 Bighorn with the large Uconnect screen.
Full disclosure, I sourced the jump seat myself, and not the dealer. I don’t think that should matter, but I wanted to be transparent. The dealer never mentioned that would be an issue for them and if it was, they shouldn’t have agreed to undertake the installation.
