Upgrading Software Version

So my navigation suddenly responds with "cancelled" every time I enter an address. Called Uconnect and they say I’m four versions back on system software and claim only the dealer should flash it. Is this something we can do ourselves? They claim I should be on LRPR40.1. I’ve never seen versions like that. Ticks me off it doesn’t update via OTA.

Updating is for sure something we can do ourselves. I've done several of them using a USB drive. But some folks have had issues when skipping levels. If it were mine, I'd try to find the updates individually and install them in order.

I reached out to Jimmy07 but he hasn't responded yet. No clue where I'd get the previous updates to step up

I've done updates myself, and had the dealerships do some, too. Decided that unless it's over-the-air update, best to let the dealership do it and deal with consequences if it bricks. As long as it's under warranty, anyway.

What version are you currently on?

I can PM you a link for radio updates 39.9 and 40.1 but it helps to know current and what you may have to step through.

Are they talking about UC code levels or navigation packages?

Code levels I believe although they weren't exactly specific. I need to do some more research

Yeah I did that already but noting resembles the software version they gave me of LRPR40.1

So I figured out how to read the version and checked mine and it shows PR39.9. Anyone know what versions are after that?
