Not driving everyday so this maybe a week or two old but I got notified of an update this morning for the radio. Is there anywhere you can see release notes for these updates?

I second your request if anyone knows how/where to read the release notes of updates. I'd like to know what the updates are before actually getting updated.

Are updates always automatic, or can one decided not to have an update done?

You’d have to search TSBs on the NHTSA site:

How does the system update, is it through your home Wi-Fi? I recently linked my truck to my home internet so hopefully it can receive updates once they are released.

Thanks for this info. Mine was updated to S21C.6 a few weeks ago. From the version description I’d guess you have a newer update version.
