Hey everyone,
Just picked my truck up from my dealer and they did the Tranny recall and reflash on my 2500 CTD Standard 68RFE and I can say that I am noticing much improved shift points! Before the reflash it would lag and drag and shudder when it would shift, now it’s like bam, bam,bam.....:-) Not sure about MPG change or not as it’s only 4 miles to my dealer. The power still seemed to be there though when I would accelerate! Have to say I’m very happy so far.
*As for my heated seats not heating properly, they ordered all new heating elements for the seat and back for both seats, they seemed to think this will fix it!!! I will update on that again after the repairs have been made next week!
*As for the rattle on the passenger side front and rear, they torqued all my cab mount bolts to 80 ft lbs and I have to report the rattle is GONE! I drove the roads home that I noticed the rattling and no noise now at all! The Service Manager said everyone of them had to be tightened! Come on Factory.....:-/
*As for the CLICKING noise in the steering column area, that is the brake interlock solenoid and the noise is normal unfortunately. He took me out to 2 2019 2500’s on the lot with CTD in them and they both made the same exact noise, so it’s something I’m just going to have to live with and it’s ok....:-)
*And the TSB for the DEF issue had already been updated on my truck, I did admit to him that I had been letting the truck idle a lot during the cold weather and that I had been pulling a trailer a bit so it seems I am using the correct amount of DEF. He did say that could have an effect on the DEF usage.
*All in all, I want to THANK MARK from RamCares on this Forum for helping me get these issues addressed in a timely manner and to Craig, the Service Manager at my dealership for taking a VERY PROFESSIONAL approach to getting things up to snuff and treating me very respectfully and caring about my happiness driving this Machine. And A BIG THANK YOU to several of you on here for posting and giving updates to your issues that help all of us!!!!!

Glad everything turned out well
Keeping fingers crossed and trying to stay positive for sure!!!!!! We all spend a lot of money on these trucks and we all want them built with the quality that we are paying for!

Excellent! Re your heated seat issue, you state that "they ordered all new heating elements for the seat and back for both seats..." You have heating elements in your seat backs? That would really be unfair cuz most of us just have a bun warmer. ;)

Yes, there are elements in the butt part of the seat as well as the lower lumbar areas of the seats. Our GC Overland has the same thing, but they actually work

Glad to hear that your trans is better. Mine lags and shudders awful, but I have an appointment on the 20th to have it repaired thankfully.

I can honestly say after the reflash my tranny now shifts like it should! I was experiencing the same thing you are in the shifting. Hoping yours gets better too!!!!!!
