Uconnect and motorolla phones

My motorolla phone (version 8) will connect to my uconnect 5, but uconnect doesn't see my phone contacts, or previous calls. Anyone run into this?

I never look for my contacts through the screen but I do see previous calls displayed. When I'm on the road I talk to 3 or 4 people the most and typically look for their last call on the screen and tap on the last call to a person when I want to call them back. That's pretty handy but that's about all I look for from my phone on the big screen.

I read about all the 12" screen issues and mine is very glitchy as well but my phone actually connects and operates fairly well with the truck.
