Swapped my uc5 8.4 non nav to 12” nav uc5
Past couple week its been acting up,
at start up would have black screen (but have sound etc) sometimes cycling the ignition could the screen to work, or sometimes it would randomly start working while driving
Now it just seem to stay black full time, yet sound and steering wheel controls, bluetooth via siri still works
Tried unhooking batts overnight, pulling fuses and resetting by holding power down, but nogo
Im not sure if its the module or screen,
Is there away to diag/test the module or screen short of swapping them out?
Will alphaobd (with correct dongle) diag uc5?
Just an update,
Pulled screen and module out, and a coworker let me use his 2022 ram 1500 with 12” as a Guinea pig.
Removed his screen and plugged mine it into his module and it booted right up, so after that i removed his module and plugged mine in to his screen and it came right up, so then i plugged my module into my screen and both were working great still
So next day went back to my 2500 and checked wiring, (no issues) and rehooked and all is right again, so guess maybe a loose connection not really sure what caused the issue
