Two new tires after alignment?…..Centramatic fix

At 2:50 in This vid, he captures the noise most reviews I read remark about it being the one drawback to them. Most say it sounds like one would expect, BB’s rolling around in a metal tube. I wonder if they made any changes since his production date, did yours seem to rattle when you were installing or dampened inside by oil?

I could hear them rolling in that tube by hand but not on the truck even rolling slowly with a cinder block wall just outside the driver window. My ears are kinda bad for higher pitched noises though, too many ducks busted.

I tried a set of centramatics on my dually and hated them. they made the vibration worse, and were very loud. i could hear them with my windows up. not sure if different experiences are due to different models. mine sounded like a lot of sand in a tube.. i think what was the most annoying was hearing it from 0-30 mph then it instantly stops.. ended up sending them back for a refund.

The video mentioning noise above featured a dually….if made worse it would seem that the issue isn’t balancing, maybe. I wasn’t positive that mine was balancing but it must have been.

yea the video is pretty accurate though maybe my engine runs quieter than the ford they sure seemed louder to me than his sound and i only had rears installed.. i did read the reviews about the sound prior to ordering them. and if they had solved my issue I could have lived with the sound. the video also reminded me of my other gripe. There was no way to line the holes up with the valve stems on my inner wheels. no position lined up right, Im sure this is due to having aftermarket wheels but I didnt want to have to cut new holes or pull my wheels off to adjust the tire pressure.

Same experience with noise. They did work ok with balancing, but the noise was so loud you would never hear a brake, bearing or mechanical issue over them.

May not have anything to do with any of y'alls problems but just more food for thought, if you add Centramatics be sure balance beads are removed if you have them. Beads and Centramatics do not work together, in fact they seem to fight each other for some reason. I installed a set on the rear of a dually not knowing about the bead deal. They didn't work, in fact seemed to make it worse. They would get to the point of being ok for a bit then start shaking, and on and on. Took out the beads, problem solved.

Some say to remove the existing wheel weights too, I didn’t.
I am hearing that ECO mode a lot, the truck must be rolling easier and that light is now lit up a bunch where it wouldn’t have been before.
