Twisted chain and V-bar chain at the same time?

I have a pair of twisted chains and I need to buy another pair to make a set but I’m considering the V-bar chain so my question is can I run one on one axle and the other on the other axel or will that mess up the truck in 4wd with thicker chains on one axle?

Shouldn’t be an issue. Using chains means you’re on a low traction surface and any slight different will be compensated for with some tire slip.

Be careful about clearance. I believe the manual says rear chains only, but I could be mis-remembering.

It does say that for all SRW trucks.

Maybe at full articulation there would be a clearance issue, but I’ve run hundreds of miles with 4 HD chains on between my ‘18 and ‘22 and the only place I’ve had real clearance issues is the sway bar on the ‘18. The ‘22 didn’t seem to rub there, but I’ll be installing the Thuren swaybar before chain season so it won’t be an issue anymore.

I'd be more concerned about contact with the radius arms at full lock.
