Turn signal LED replacement

I'm looking to replace the turn signals with LED bulbs. Has anyone done this? Does the light fixture need to be taken out (which requires trim removal) to change the bulbs? I tried looking under the hood and through the access port in the wheel well but cannot find where the turn signal bulb is plugged in or how to remove it.

I must say, the new headlights are great, but I miss how easy it was to remove the 4th gen lights with two screws and a clip.

No, I have a Laramie. I have LED headlights. I'll try those directions this afternoon though. Thanks.
