Is there a way to drive with no lites on? I am a hunter and would like to drive with no lites in to spot. I got the headlights off but I cannot get the other lit’s off. Am I missing something?

thanks

Try pushing the ebrake down a notch. I haven’t tried it but it has worked on other cars.

Only thing you can do is use AlfaOBD to turn off the signature lights.

Does triggering the activate plow lighting wire shut the signature lights off?

Nope unfortunately one reason i have not upgraded my lights yet is after using my buddies truck with his plow the signature lights create a terrible glare when driving at night a real oversite on rams part…. My tradesman has the advantage in that aspect as i have the plow on most of the winter

Man, I do wish there was a way to make a "lights kill switch". I am also a hunter and have some private land where me and some buddies will drive around at night with night vision, and it would be great to make an internal and external switch that removed all lighted elements while keeping the truck running.

I assume that will be insanely tricky with how tightly these trucks are connected with their computers though.

Follow up then, I see this is for the signature lights (assume that is the running lights in the headlight), so that's great. Would it be possible to do this for an all interior and all exterior lights? For example, could I turn off the lighting in the gauge cluster? All the lights for the head unit? Etc.? Man this would be a pretty serious dream.

No, because the cluster and radio lighting isn’t as simple as a lighting wire that can be interrupted, they are driven by canbus. Now you’re talking just installing a police blackout module:

According to the data I can find online, that seems to be a gov sales item only. I also wish that I could set the blackout to remain active above 20mph, but what can you do. It's interesting knowing this can be done though.

For the interior lights you could turn on “police lighting” in AlfaOBD. It will let you turn the dimmer dial all the way down and shut off all interior lights, but it will also disable the rear power locks and the tailgate button.

I'll try that tonight, would it also kill the gauge cluster? When wearing night vision even minor lighting will blow your nods out so you can't see anything, which can be rough while driving. If I could kill the gauge cluster that would alleviate the majority of my issue.

It should. This is theoretical btw. I've not tried it on an HD. I know people have done it on Chargers and on 1500s though.
