Thanks for the post. I have the older CP4 pump. I have not had the described problem or code yet, but if I do I will know there is a fix, that is, replace with the new CP4.2 pump. Maybe by that time it will be, replace with a CP# pump instead.

This post is about an ECM update for people who get the Turbo Underboost MIL.

The part about the pump in the TSB is only for the techs to choose the right version of the new ECM update based on what pump type the truck has. They must visually identify the pump style to choose the right ECM flash. All 19-20 HD 6.7Ls have a CP4.2 but there are two different styles of them. All the info about pumps can be found here:

So for those that haven’t bought yet, get the 2021. The 2021 (verified just a little while ago) has the CP3. So no need to deal with a recall etc. [MOD EDIT: Any complaints or rants about the CP4 may be messaged in one of the other three or four threads along those same lines or the following...
