I realized when my truck is off there is a ticking sound coming from under the hood. No matter how long the truck is off. Is that normal?
CLick on the link to listen to the sound click here

RUN! She’s gunna blow!!!

Lol... my CTD makes a lot of post-shutdown noises, something to do with purging DEF from the lines. Between my last two trucks, (16 ECO & 19 CTD) they both make quite a racket for up to 20ish minutes. Part of me believes that some of the noises are the HVAC changing states (opening or closing dampeners) It was especially noticeable while hunting, where I would be sitting in the truck scouting with the engine off.

It does sound like it's coming from power brake booster area

How long it should stay on?

Not long, but I have had an occasion where my truck was making noises 10-15 minutes after shutoff, but it's otherwise the tick-tick-tick for maybe 30 seconds or so? I don't pay much attention to it anymore. Some have said the EGR valve makes noises, and I agree with @jpidgie that the HVAC may be contributing.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it never shuts up.

Mine tics too. It a stupid emissions DEF thing.

I could swear I can hear it every time even after the truck is parked for couple of hours. I will double check on that to make sure.

I can't listen to your video, as our nannyware tells me that site is unsafe, but I've walked past my 2016 to check the mail after not having driven it for multiple days and I'll hear a few ticks and clicks going on. My wife's Durango has done the same thing when I've gone to the garage to retrieve a beverage. I've learned to make peace with it as I just assume with so many different parts heating/cooling at different rates that it wasn't worth worrying about. I sure hope I'm right.
