In my search for a new 3500 found this great resource a few months ago, so asking my first question...
Recently ordered a new 5th wheel that will arrive sometime in March we had planned to order a new truck, but after reading about all the delays we have decided to buy a truck out of dealer inventory to be sure we will have a truck to pick it up. The trailer has pretty heavy pin so rather than be on the edge of payload with a SRW we are looking at DRW. There are a few scattered around that will work, but we are thinking of waiting until next month since March is Ram truck month. One of the dealers swears there wont be much discount on the 3500, says there will be nothing better than we could get today. Just looking to those of you who know more about this, if he is right or waiting 23 more days until Truck month would be worth it? Thanks

Sounds like you don't need a truck until some time in March, so I don't see any harm in waiting. March is also the last month of Q1 so if you can hold out until the end of March, the dealership may be willing to make a deal to close out the quarter.

The 1500's are generally the trucks that they put incentives on during Truck month. The HD's are hit or miss. It still won't hurt to wait. The worst that can happen is they will give you squat like they are giving right now.

We just purchased ours and the truck month deals are for 1500s.
We traded our 2018 2500 because we haul a 40' toy hauler.

They've had the same $500/$750 factory incentive since I bought in August 2020. Look for a minimum of 12% off MSRP and make the deal.

HDs, especially diesels, are a red hot market right now. Low inventory and high demand. The factory doesn't need to incentivize sales. Plus, Ram is already the value leader trim to trim option to option compared to their competition. You won't see the big half ton discounts like b307a1 said.
