A newbie I have a 2018 2500 crew cab short box. What is the payload for this rig. I bought a new truck camper to haul. It has a 5.7 Hemi in it and put in air bags. My worry is will I be okay. Truck camper is 3000 lbs. I currently tow a 30 ft. TT no problem through the mountains. 9000 lbs. loaded and wife calls me Mario Andretti of the tv world.

Read the tire place card on your door jamb it lists the payload for your specific truck…. But ill tell you with a 3K slide in your in 3500 almost dually territory

The 5.7 2500 only has a 9000lb GVWR.

The truck is still gonna weigh about 6700lbs. So about 2300lb payload. It will be on your door sticker as mentioned. Or use the website as mentioned.

Or better yet. Go to a CAT scale and get you exact axle weights.

3000lb truck camper is 3500 territory.

You need to look in the 1500 to 1700 lbs range...maybe 2000lbs if you are by yourself and no other gear.
