Thinking about getting a hard tri fold tonneau for my 6.5 non-ram-box bed. Is there a brand that I can rely on because so much of what I find on google is a made up china brand like AFASDF or something. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Also - what happens if I want to use the whole bed...can I do one last fold and have the whole cover up against the back of the cab or something?

For my '23 2500 I got one from Rough Country. Well made and easy to install. Can open to 2/3 position and drive; if you need the bed fully open, you have to remove it, but easily done. This one:

BakFlip Mx4 has the exact feature that you are describing.
I just installed a Retrax ProMX on my 2022, it works and the install wasn't too bad.
The reason I went with the Retrax was getting as much height as possible. My fridge/freezer fit under my cover on my 1500 with the OEM foldup cover nicely. But for some reason the 2500 bed is shallower then the 1500's was. I really didn't want the Extang cover as I've had one of theirs on a 2015 and while it worked I cussed it several times and did have to remove it completely several times for more bed accessibility. Being in my mid 70's crawling in to unclamp a cover and remove it was not an appealing though. Using my clear hindsight it would have been a better option as the Extang sits on top of the bed rails and would have allowed just enough clearance for my 12 volt fridge/freezer. Which doesn't fit under this fancy Retrax.

Between a dozen or so guys with tri-folds I've checked out they all seem to be pretty dang similar, feels like someone designed one then the factory making them in china started making them under different brands. There is a tonneau cover thread on here somewhere with tons of feedback if you want a trusted name brand option.
