Transmission Whirring Noise

I have a 2018 RAM 2500 with a 6 speed auto trans. Upon acceleration shifting from 4th to 5th or 5th to 6th I get a 1 second whirring noise before it actually shifts. Anyone have knowledge of this condition?

Are we supposed to guess which of the 3 6speeds you may have? The 66rfe the 68rfe or the aisin?

He stated he has a 2500 so that should rule out the Aisin. Op, can you tell us if you have a diesel or gas truck? I'm going to go out on a limb and say he has a 6.7 with the 68RFE.

I had no idea there were 3 different ones. Sorry about that. I'll try to get that info.
