Hello
Current owner of a 1500, and looking at a Lonestar 2500, single cab, 4WD
The trailer towing package doesn't seem to have the trailer steering option like is available for the 1500
Is this left out on purpose?
Is it worth having?
thx

You won’t find that feature on a pre-2023 HD Ram. They just added the trailer reverse steering to the HD’s for 2023 model year.

No its not worth having in all honesty. The only thing the trailer steering option does is creates incompetent drivers. Especially if the system is not working you still need to be 1/2 decent at backing up a trailer.

backing a trailer is easy just take your time when learning and you will be good to go.

I agree. If you can’t back up a trailer, you have no business pulling one.

If you can’t park a truck without backup cameras you have no business having one.

If you can’t drive a truck without a manual transmission you have no business having one.

If you can’t manually adjust your trucks choke you have no business having one.

If you can’t start your truck with a hand crank you have no business having one.

I don’t have the trailer reverse steering, but there’s nothing wrong with having or wanting it. I can use the gas and brake pedals just fine, but I certainly enjoy the ease of adaptive cruise control.
