This is strange but I have enjoyed the trailer reverse steering knob for almost a year now. The first time hooking up it asked to calibrate by making a turn and it's been a piece of cake since.
The last 2 times with the trailer, when I try to use the trailer reverse steering, it asks to calibrate. Since I couldn't at my campsites I just did it old school (which I have plenty of experience with, that's not the issue). I had time today and decided to calibrate before returning to storage. Well, IT WON'T. It just has the symbols in the cluster saying to calibrate by making a few simple turns. No matter what turns I do or straighten out, it will not calibrate. I am at a loss why after nearly a year of it being fine, why it "forgot" my trailer, or worse, can't relearn it.
Anyone experience this and find a solution?
SIDE NOTE: I am well aware that whenever these reverse assist knobs come up, they can derail into arguments over how skilled we are at backing up or how anyone using these features have questionable masculinity. Please let's not do that here. I do not have problems backing a trailer, I just enjoy tech and gadgets, regardless of how necessary they may be. Thanks!
