Trailer Detection - Conventional vs Gooseneck vs Commercial

Just checking to see if anyone else has come across this "blind spot" function while towing a 5th wheel. When I hooked up the 5th wheel the other day, I clicked on "Gooseneck" and it wouldn't recognize the trailer. Didn't think much of it as we were leaving. While driving, my passenger side mirror yellow warning marker came on several times blinking but no vehicle next to me. Took it to the dealer as the code it was showing was U0232-00 Lost Communication with Blind Spot Detection Module. Just spoke to the dealer and they indicated that I need to check "Commercial" when I hook up the 5th wheel. If I had the 360 Camera system, I would use Gooseneck. Just wondering if anyone else has come across this issue. I have not checked my manual yet.
