Trailer camera wiring issue/?

Hello, I have a 2022 tradesmen, 3500, it came with surround view and trailer wiring,and the trailer cameras,8" screen,
When I tried to hook up trailer camera,it didn't connect with truck, took it to dealership, they found it worked at the 5th wheel connection, but not bumper connection, they ordered the correct y connector, and that didn't work, it was same thing already on truck, they got my bumper plug to work, at the expense of the 5th wheel connector,
Anyone know the solution? Dealer is stumped currently

Only one of the two plugs is wired from the factory. When you get the 5th wheel prep package the bed plug is active.

To use the bumper plug you need to disconnect the bed plug and connect it to the bumper plug.

So basically they did was everyone else does.

I got another off the wall ?
If I have a 2022, and the 4 trailer cameras work fine, 8" screen,
How far back in model years can I go back,and the trailer cameras be compatible?
And can I go to 2023?
