Picked up a 2022 Laramie 2500 Mega Cab last Summer, July 2022. When we ordered we added the trailer camera package. Thought it would be awful handy to view from back of the trailers on the windshield rearview. It came with a bunch of wiring in a bag. So far, the kid at the dealership said that there are no cameras available for it, been saying that for over a year. Is there any out there that will plug into the 12 pin on the bumper and work as it's supposed to? Thanks in advance.

Which specific camera options did you get on the truck?

On the build sheet, I have 1. Trailer Camera Wiring (No Camera) By Mopar, 2. Tow-Mode Digital Rear View Mirror package, 3. Uconnect 5 Nave with 12 Display 4. Wired Tow-Mode Camera... At the bumper there's the 7 pin trailer light port, a single male pin port, and what I believe is a 12 pin camera port

You have two options for remote cameras with that setups.

You should look in the bag with all the wires, I’ll bet your tow mode camera is in there. That camera will plug into the port to the left of the license plate in the rear bumper. That camera will appear on your rear view mirror.

You can also order an aux camera, not 360° camera, that will connect to the 12 pin port and appear on your UConnect screen. You may even be able to get two since you didn’t list having tha truck 360° camera. I believe that part number is 82215770AB. I honestly couldn’t find any decent reviews on it while I was researching my 2022’s order, and the camera is stupid expensive for a single camera. The 360° digital trailer camera setup is cheaper.

Thanks. I'll look in the bag again but don't think there's a camera in there. On the order for the pickup, it says no camera. I have the option in the rear view mirror to switch to a camera, must be the one to the left of the plate. The rearview mirror I always leave on the camera it came with, I assume that's the 360? On my touchscreen, I can choose the cargo camera or rear view. It would be awesome if there's a sending unit that could plug into that single pin, wireless to a camera that can be found online not specific to Mopar. I have a Cousin with an electronics company, networking for homes and businesses. I might shoot him a picture of that port and see if he knows of anything. A wireless camera would be plumb awesome to attach to trailers and boats and view on my rearview.

The Trailer Camera Wiring (No Camera) By Mopar is not the camera that would be in the bag, it would be the Wired Tow-Mode Camera. This would be for the port to the left of the license plate and would appear on the rear view mirror only.

The Trailer Camera Wiring (No Camera) By Mopar is the 12 pin by the 7 pin and what would take the 82215770AB (I think, never did too much research on this camera since I didn't order it).

The rear view mirror is the Tow-Mode Digital Rear View Mirror (DRVM), which has it's own camera in the CHMSL to the left of the lights. The cargo camera is below the lights in the CHMSL. Neither of those are considered the 360° camera, that's a different option that would have come with the Towing Technology Package.

I have not heard of anyone making a wireless receiver for the DRVM camera port.

Thanks. I'll be going into the dealer again soon for an oil change, I'll check with them again on options. Thanks, DK

Since both of the options you listed are for a single camera that can be mounted on the back of the trailer I wouldn't buy anything, just hook up the DRVM camera you should already have and be done with it. The DRVM image quality will be much better, and you've already paid for it.

MSRP on the aux camera is $1,240 and the image quality is supposed to be very poor.

You should have gotten this bag.

Inside the bag should be this camera.
