The 8.4 can control them aswell….To control the seats you need switches or the upgrades UConnect 12, they are controlled from the screen.
Does anyone know if the ventilated seats in a laramie would work in a tradesman? How do you control the ventilated seats on the laramie? My truck is a 2021 2500 Tradesman
They would definitely work. There are some posts about how different model years have different harness connectors under the seats though. Definitely research if your original connectors are the same as the ones on the new seats. Sounds like it can be retrofitted too, just requiring some e-pinning and re-pinning onto the matching connector. If yours are compatible, it's just plug and play. I imagine the new seats would come with the module and harnesses since they're all connected to the seats, but another thing to look at beforehand.Any updates to this? I’m somewhat interested in doing this as well
I also believe you have to swap the air bags from your truck into the new seats to avoid an air bag light coming on.They would definitely work. Both the seat heat and seat ventilation are controlled via soft buttons on the center stack and hard buttons on the center stack bezel, but the hard buttons are optional since you can get away with just the soft buttons.
Oh yeah, good call. And I believe some models don't have air bags in the seats, so it can be a royal pain to get the retrofit to work if that's the case.I also believe you have to swap the air bags from your truck into the new seats to avoid an air bag light coming on.
