I have a 2019 ram 2500 with 18 factory rims. a friend of mine brought a 2020 ram 2500 but had the upgraded factory 20” rims And tires He wantEd 33” aftermarket rims and sold me the factory 20” rims and tires. The tpms monitor on the dash froze and didn’t move for about 50 miles. Now it shows it can’t read the tires. It says tpms needs service. I there anyway I can get my truck to read the 20”s.

Did he put the sensors in his new wheels? Also they may just need a simple relearn

Interesting. On CDJR vehicles, I have never had to do anything other than drive a few miles to get them to recognize the "new" TPMS.
