Had a 2022 1500 and the tire pressure readings on the dash were about 1-2 psi from what the manual tire gauge read......just went over this on my new 2024 and the gauge is 9-10 psi less than what the dash says, Is this a common thing and is there a way to reset or calibrate???

Usually the dash reads low, I think it’s on purpose for liability issues. Have you verified the accuracy of the gauge you’re using?

Are those initial readings? Or after driving for a bit?

The dash is reading higher than actual. Tire pressure taken when cold.

The gauge is a quality Milton liquid filled dial type.....it was always close to the same as the dash reading 3 weeks ago with the old truck.......just for fun I ordered a pencil type gauge which will be here tomorrow....

Hello,

I have not had 9 lbs difference, but there is a difference. Also, the truck's built in TPMS takes a while to 'calibrate' or change. But I love it.....the GMC 3500 that mine just replaced didn't have it built in, had to get a TST 507 system. It's a nice feature on a DRW 3500 for sure.

The newer trucks have STFA (8.4” and 12” screens) and they update very fast. Fast enough you can use the dash as a tire pressure gauge when increasing/decreasing pressures.

My hunting wheels/sensors are off my 18 and update too slow to use for inflating/deflating, but I plan to put the newer sensors in before next hunting season.
