Towing with new 6.4L

Appreciate the post, and I hope my post didn't make this political, didn't mean to. Back to towing ...

I really enjoy this thread because my wife and I have talked about doing the camper thing, just have never waded in. I would enjoy the aspect of bringing home with us, can easily take stuff that I'd enjoy having on trips. I'm not really interested in campground to campground every few days trips, would prefer to go somewhere for a week and stay put. We'll see if it happens but reading all this helps understand a lot more about it. I figure I already have the truck ...
I prefer having the camper staying in hotels or Airbnb's. My wife, not so much. We have 2 little puppies and I think it's easier for them with the camper. If you have room to park it at home, it's so much nicer than having to store it. Our next trip is in May. We're going to do 3 days at Lake Powell and then three days at Moab. We don't have a slide, so more than a week starts to feel claustrophobic.

I spend 4-6 months working out of my camper in the summers on subdivisions. 16' box is tight, but I have a good sized bathroom, queen bed, ect. And if its warm I use the outside kitchen. Thats a game changer for sure.

We got a Rockwood withOUT a dinette but has the kitchen bar type set up. We love it. I spend my mornings in there. Ours is flat but I can reach the coffee maker have plugs, out of the way, can look out the door and see the dogs, turn the TV a bit and see it... So glad we didn't get a dinette... We got one with a "private" sofa/bedroom/slideout but the overall TT is still only 29.9 feet. Empty nesters. It's a 24 ultra lite 2616BH. I love this one and that little private bedroom pic... They only made ours for two years 24/25 glad we got one. I guess they didn't sell well, but we also scored right at a 50% reduction off MSRP. It has three slides feels much more like a fifth wheel lots of space...AND storage, but the storage is a bit odd. We got used to it fast. https://forestriverinc.com/rvs/print/rockwood/2616BH/9654
For us the dinette was a must. Ours has a full size queen bed but there is the option to choose a murphy bed that turns into a nice sofa (which I like but my wife does not). I think the murphy option and dinette hits the sweet spot.
