I have a 2022 2500 Tradesman that came without the tow mirrors factory installed. Had the dealer install the mirrors and 2 trips back to get the puddle lights and turn signal lights activated. Still don’t have the running lights working after another trip to the dealer. Is this something I can activate myself ? I have a vgate mc+, Jscan app and the kaodtech bypass module cable on the way. I still don’t think the dealer knew what I was trying to explain to them what was missing. TIA

In JScan:
Modules > body controller > configuration > search “ECU configuration 5 (doors)” mirror running lights present > set.
Thanks. I’ve tried to find it with the demo mode but couldn’t. My bypass is supposed to be here later this week. Thanks again.

Demo mode just has a generic list. Once you connect to your truck, it will auto detect your body computer variant and populate all it’s relevant settings, and it will be there.
I thought that was probably the case. Im anxious to get the bypass to actually be able to see what is possible. Thanks again for this and all of the other information that you provide. When I say thank you, Im sure a lot of people on here appreciate your help.

Thanks again. Got’er done. I had to search and search for the right programming line but I finally found it. Also reset my TPMS while I was there. When it gets a little cooler, I’ll be able to spend a little more time exploring. Thanks again.

For anyone getting the Kaodtech cable, use the color of the wiring and not the color of the connector to determine which CAN block it connects to. Mine has a black and white connector on the wires. The black one goes to the one with the white base and vice versa on the other one. This is only a minor issue as it works perfectly and very well built. No complaints just a heads up.

Does anyone know if I could plug the 2 connectors together on the bypass with it still plugged into the CAN blocks ?

Does anyone know what adaption or module to select on JScan to enable the mirror Spotlight while in motion or do I need alphaOBD to make changes? I live in California and unfortunately can’t have the spotlight on while backing up. Sorry if I missed a post in regards to the question I’m asking but couldn’t find any info.

Which lights are you talking about?
The front utility lights on 23+ towing mirrors. They shut off as soon as the truck starts moving.

Cool

How bright are they will the illuminate the side like ditch lights?

I have a 2020 so nothing like that on it.

Definitely not quite as bright as a good set of ditch lights, but they’d be useful for slow moving while off-road, or maneuvering around a forest camp spot at night.
