I’ve seen a lot of people want the 23’ or 24’and newer mirrors. I just got a 2024 5500 with heated and power adjust mirrors but without power fold or extend. I want the older flip out mirrors. Can it be done?

This is why. The new ones suck if you actually need to see around things.

You would need a set of 19-22 doors since the 23-24 mirrors have different mounting which the old mirrors wont cover the large hole that would be left

The outside edge of the new mirrors when extended is the same distance out as the outside edge of the old mirrors when flipped up.

I haven’t measured. I know I sat there for 10-15min trying to reposition the seat and mirrors to get as good of a view as my 2018 and it’s not possible with the new style.

Just curious OP, where are you located?
Near Houston.

Since the the mirror swap isn’t that simple I have another idea. I can’t see anything out of the rear window or rear view mirror.

The truck doesn’t have a 3rd brake light. Can I install the digital rear view mirror and a brake light camera relocation kit from camera source. https://www.camerasource.com/automo...ilter=6023&model_filter=6132&year_filter=6297
Can anyone confirm that this mirror is the correct one? https://discountparts.brenhamcjd.com/oem-parts/mopar-inside-rear-view-mirror-68654265aa

I have same issue, long wheelbase and 16' van body and can't see a thing behind me. Ordered a set of Sanooer flip up mirrors which bolt on but don't completely cover the bottom. Wiring plugs in but does nothing. Not sure if it's because they're for a 19, also missing 1 plug compared to my factory ones. I've seen other newer vehicle with same issue. Does anyone have another solution. The replacement mirror is about 2" wider flipped up.

Have you tried to manually pull them out?
I am not 100% sure but I dont think there is a power extend on 24s and up.
Mine just slide out.... like you are trying to pull it off the door.

I have them pulled out I ended up cutting pipe for support and pushing them out an extra couple of inches. Works but probably will redo it so they're even further for better visibility.
