Titan Sidekick install

Since us Hemi owners currently have zero bigger drop in ready replacement tanks or aux tank I decide to give the Sidekick a go. Install was pretty darn easy, would take maybe 10 minutes if you don’t have a tonneau or bedrug. Pics below show the couple of mods I did to make it work with my Bakflip 4XS and Bedrug.

To pump transfer the fuel I have the shaker hose that comes with the tank but I also sprung for a rechargeable TeraPump with 4’ hose. I did a test run and the claimed 3.1 gpm seems accurate. I put 15 gallons in and @ 5 minutes and 9 seconds it couldn’t pump anymore fuel. Using a super duper calibrated measuring device, there was approximately .5” of fuel remaining on the bottom. Using all that knowledge I forgot from high school, I deduceed’ there was about 1/4 gallon left. When I get really ambitious I’ll take the tank out and dump it in a measure cup to confirm. Anyhow, pics for all.

Mods:
Had to notch the aluminum rail for my Bakflip, pretty easy with a pair of 9’s and a Dremel.

Trimmed the ears on one knob for the Bakflip, there was just enough interference between the knob and fuel cap.

Trimmed the ears on the fuel cap, same aforementioned interference with the knob for the tonneau as well as the bracket for said knob.
