Currently have 35" Cooper STT Pro's on my truck... We get real winter around here so i knew i was going to have to swap to a different tire for winter. Settled on the Falken Wildpeak AT3W.

Called the tire shop, asking for a 285/75r18 or a 35" tire.. no go.. none available, backordered for months. It took me forever to settle on a tire, so i was a little miffed. Option 2, Yokohama Geolandar... same story.. backordered.

Ok, now we just start going down the list. Toyo AT III? Backordered. Duratrac? Backordered. Coopers? Backordered. KO2 was available... NOT happening.

I needed a severe weather tire due to requirements on certain highways around here and i commute 2,000 KM every 2 weeks (there and back) for work.

Ended up finding 4, 37" Falkens.. 1 at 4 seperate dealers. I didn't want to step up to 37's, but i also didn't want to go the winter on these coopers.

Just ordered a leveling kit, i wanted a thuren kit but thats obviously not happening either.

So if you need rubber.. think about getting it soon!

It was that way a year ago when i bought 35’s Most were hard to get.

I was in the same boat, took me for ever to settle on a tire to replace my stock Transforces. I finally settled on the Toyo Open Country AT3s.

Called every tire shop in town and told can’t get them they are back ordered for at least 3 months.

Did some more research and settled on the Falken Wildpeaks. Called the tire shop asked to order a set of the Falkens in a 275/65R20. I was told they were on back order.

But they said I get the Toyo Open AT3s…I asked 3 different times on that phone call if they were the AT3s and not the AT2s. They said yes. Told them to order them.

They told me it would be 3 weeks until they got them. They called 8 days later to tell me tires were in and my appointment to have them installed was 21 Sep.

Got them installed, 2 days later we got 2.5 inches of snow and so far I’m really liking them.

Time will tell how they hold up.

I put Nitto ridge grappler‘s on my 21 Longhorn in stock size of 285/60/20 a Couple of months ago. Discount Tire had them the next day. They could’ve also gotten the Falcons the next day. I shopped for both.

Took me weeks to find motorcycle tires a few months ago and had to pay a premium.

Same thing for my drag radials & front runners. Rear's took almost 2 months, front were about a month.

If you were looking for a 35x12.50-18 in the toyo at3 simpletire.com has them. That is where i purchased mine a few months back and just looked again and still shows in stock. Maybe you were not looking for that size though ?

I'm in canada unfortunately. We don't have nearly the network of options that you folks in the US have.

If the borders weren't still in a state of chaos, i'm only 4 hours north of Montana.

The shortage is defiantly something to keep in mind. No waiting until the last minute to buy tires now days. Need to keep an eye on them and order a few months out from when you might need them.

.

Found a cheap set of Milestar 37s to snag. Swapped them onto the Jeep we were getting rid of so I could keep the Toyo MTs for the truck. Now just waiting on wheels from CJC to show up.

Kept the Kings off the old truck too, looking forward to all the second stage upgrades next month.

Sorry I didn't realize you were in Canada , That sucks because simpletire.com seems to have more selection then any of my local shops ever have at a better price. This whole world is screwed up right now though so i guess we are lucky to be able to buy anything we need !

Went shopping for Toyo AT III's today, I need 6, so needless to say, I struck out.

We have a huge for tires in Canada aswell but most tire shops don't deal with more than a few brands…. Where are you located? Here we have no issue getting tires of all shapes and sizes
