Tire with load range of 128 or better for 2022 RAM 3500 short bed

I have a 2022 RAM 3500 with LT 285/60/R20 122R Single Rear Wheel stock tires. I am getting ready to pull a fifth wheel trailer and looking for tires that will support the load. My current 125R tires have 3638 lbs load limit. Any recommendations for tires with 3900 - 4000 lbs rating that will fit the RAM truck? The truck is a 6.4L HEMI with 4.10 gears. Thanks

Looks like you are stuck with load range E if you want to stick with that size, highly recommend Fallen Wildpeak A/T3W if you stay the same size. Looking at some of the load range F tires in different sizes you might see that the weights are equivalent or even less. So the moral of the story is....your OE tires will support the load, so as long as you meet that spec on your new tires you are fine with an E.

Just curious if there is there a particular reason you’re looking for a higher capacity tire? The stock tires will support a combined 7,280 lbs which exceeds the axle rating on both a 2500 and 3500 SRW.

EDIT: Does the Hemi still cap at 7k on the rear axle for a 3500?

That aint that heavy, if you get a really HD tire aint you going to have a really rough ride when your not towing ?

My 5th wheel is 12K GVWR and I have the Falken A/T3W and they're great.

Bump to the 285/65R20 size and you get a tire rated @~3860 lbs depending on wheel width.

Ride is a bit harsh when running empty with them pumped up to 75-80 for towing so I can't imagine just how bad it would be with something stiffer. When aired down for unladen street/trail use they offer a good ride.

If you only pull in the sunbelt and want something a little less aggressive, the Michelin Defender LTX might be a good choice. Same capacity in the 285/65R20 size.

I have some Cooper Rugged Trek's 265/70-18's on stock rims Load index 125 has a wt. rating of 3638 lbs. have about 30k on them now and works great have around 2/3 tread left on them.

I'm running 37x12.50r17 Falken RT-01S in 128 load index and very happy with the performance and ride. It is key to run appropriate pressure for you load and not just max out at all times for a good ride in these trucks.

the md ltx is a fantastic hwy tire. can't get better than that for ride quality. surprisingly okay on mild offroading.
