Recently installed Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 35x12.5x17 on a 2026 Ram 3500 dually. Is there anything available to reprogram the TPS? Dodge service said they are unable to do it. Thanks
They are able to do it but they won’t. You’ll have to find a shop with a J-Scan to reprogram the On Board Computer. I have the same problem. I replaced my tires/wheels with aftermarket and get the best ride/wear at 55psi. However, the TPMS constantly tells me to inflate my tires to 60/65 psi. My tires are not rated for 65psi but will indeed hold the air. This is a major safety infraction on the part of the engineers who designed the system. I’ve reported it to the NHTSA but they’re not interested in enforcing automotive safety standards!! Never ever go by the vehicle manufacturers label placed somewhere on the vehicle unless you replace with same excate brand size and type tire. If you change size, brand or type you MUST use the tire manufacturer’s information as branded on the sidewall of the tire. They are the experts on their respective products not RAM!! Trust me! If you drive these trucks anywhere in West Virginia empty with 60/65 psi in the tires you Will go back to placing your hands at 10 O’ clock and 2 O’ clock on the steering wheel lest you be bounced into a ditch!!! Lol
