I just switched the stock Duratracs for some 35” Wrangler Boulder MT’s. Definitely ride rougher on the road than the stock Duratracs. I want to lower the pressure down so I know I will get a warning light. If I don’t want to use a programmer like the AEV procal can I just ignore the warning light without causing any problems?

Yes you can ignore the light without any issues. My Boulder MTs ride about the same as the 35 inch Duratracs I had before them.

I ignored the light for 3.98 years. No issue. I just gathered the JScan goods and made that light go out for good along with a few other mods as suggested by others. I think all in it was just under $100 for everything to make just about any changes you would want to.

Yes you can ignore the tire pressure light; I did for a while; downside is you will no longer be alerted if you do get a flat/have a tire with low pressure.

Also if you don’t correct the speedometer for the tire size increase, your speedometer and odometer will be incorrect (speedometer will read slower than actual and odometer will read lower than actual)

It’s fine to leave it, but better to adjust it.

Don’t bother with the AEV Procal, it’s extremely over priced for what it does.

Get AlfaOBD or JScan, security bypass cable, and an OBDII dongle for a fair amount less and you’ll be able to do a lot more if you want to.

Dealer said they will make adjustment for 35” tires but can’t do anything about tire pressure monitors.

Thanks for the heads up. I wish there was a plug and play programmer like the old Hypertech I had years ago.

My Boulder 35 inch are exactly 1 mph off per 20 mph on the speedometer. At 80 indicated on the speedo I am actually going 84. I have run them at 45 psi front and 50 psi rear for the 10 plys.

Coming from one that isn’t into cracking the code on this newer stuff, especially as pricey as our trucks are….JScan is the ticket. About $100 with bypass cable, OBD reader and license in the app….changes for the common stuff are already listed here on the site. Once you get into it and figure out how simple it is you will be happy you dove in.
