Is it ok to run a trailer with incandescent bulbs on the HD 4.5 Gen trucks? In the past this could fry the TIPM module.

This has never been an issue…. And yes its not an issue now
Thanks H3, this was discussed years ago during a upfitter meeting at the NTEA Work Truck show. Just double checking. All my trailers are LED, have to hookup to an older trailer this weekend.

Of greater risk, possibly just blowing a fuse or more likely having intermittent brake controller issues, is hauling trailers with the old style 7-pin plug.

My 2018 GDRV has incandescent' s and also a TPMS repeater power tapped into the running lights and no issues.
