Hi all - new to this forum and RAM trucks. We started towing a 27FB Airstream in 2013 with a Chevy 2500 diesel. I’ve recently acquired some spinal arthritis and found that the coil suspension in the RAM 2500 seemed better on the spine so we ordered a Limited Longhorn Megacab 6.4 Hemi last November and it finally came in last week while my wife and I were in the middle of a great 4000 mile trek to see family, friends, and National Parks along the eastern half of the country.
I just hit 300 miles and have 200 more to go before I can start towing (and that at 50 MPH for the first 500 towing miles…yikes!). But really looking forward to hitting the scales, dialing everything in, and all the camping we’ve got planned now that we’re retired!
Pic attached - we added a topper and a bed slide - these things are so tall now - it’s impossible to get in the bed anymore…
Looking forward to meeting folks and learning all I can - maybe someday actually being helpful to someone else too…
Happy camping everyone!
