Timing of model year change over

I have been searching and lurking on here. I have never ordered a vehicle before, but am thinking about ordering a 3500 soon. When is the approximate last date to order a 2022 and about when can you start ordering 2023's? I would think that as the factory winds down on 2022's there would be more options that become unavailable due to just running out of parts and not wanting to restock. I am not in a rush and could wait on the 2023's. If there are significant changes with the new model, I am not sure I want to be part of the first year issues.

According to the ordered trucks spreadsheet the soonest orders of the 22's took place in May of last year. I'd imagine it would be a somewhat similar timeline for the 23's.

According to Donlen the order period is closed for MY22 HD's and there is not a Date for MY23 start up or order placement. Not sure if this is accurate but normally it matches pretty close.

I saw the Donlen site. It has updated since I last checked it to say "closed". Seems like I will wait until Mid-June for the 23's to open up. I am not in a hurry. Our current truck pulls the camper just fine - we are flat landers I am planning ahead to when we head "over the mountain"...

Interesting. "If" we are going to order, I will know in a couple of weeks. We are pulling the camper to TN for Spring Break and will know before I get to the top of the mountain what needs to happen. I guess Donlen cuts orders off before the factory, which makes sense. We will see how much early.
