When you plug in a thumb drive, is it recognized instantly? I plugged mine in and waited 1 min and it still didn't recognize any music.
 
Figured out that while I thought I had formatted the drive as fat32, it didn't actually do it. Format complete and now there are 14568 songs on there.

I also noticed not all USBs are connected to audio but you probably already figured that out.
