This Guy Bought A Wrecked Cummins-Powered 2019 Ram 2500 Big Horn:
YouTuber Looks To Fix Up His Auction Bought Ram 2500...

I've watched the 2 vids Weston has out so far on this truck. My question is; why would the insurance company total this truck if this is the only damage it supposedly has? (Door, fender, headlight). I would think the frame is tweaked a bit but based on what I'm seeing in the video, if is tweaked, it should be an easy repair on the frame machine. So why then would it have been totaled and sent to auction?

I wondered the same thing. Doesn't really seem like that much damage on a $60k+ valued new truck. I thought insurance companies only "totaled" vehicles when the damage approaches its value.

I just watched both videos and there are several reasons that I could find. The frame, right where the A pillar hits it, has a tear in it. They said they would just put a couple of tack welds in it to repair it. If the frame has a tear in it, the frame has definitely moved. And by the looks of the interior dash panels on the right side of the door, it looks as if that part of the frame was pushed in to the point where it has damaged the dash panels. It is going to take more than just a couple of tack welds to truly fix it. I don’t know these guys so I don’t know if they are going to do just enough work on it to make it look new so they can sell it fast or if they are going to truly spend the time and money on it to fix it correctly? But once the frame, we are talking the frame and not the chassis, is compromised the vehicle is typically considered a loss by most insurance companies these days. If that area of the frame isn’t fixed correctly and the vehicle rolls it could cause that A pillar to collapse instead of supporting the vehicle. And as I mentioned above, it looks as if the dash is damaged on that side of the truck as well. This is not a cheap fix, so the repair costs are definite mounting. So at the least they will need to replace the dash pad and possibly fix any damage to the dash frame underneath it once the fix the door frame.

This guy has ants in his pants and can’t sit still long enough to give us a really good look at any of the damage. He definitely needs to lay off of the energy drinks.

Third video posted this evening. They found a replacement door and fender. Cosmetically it's looking good, but hard to say if there are still underlying structural issues.
