After much frustration, several trials and tribulations with a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon towing our camper we decided to trade it for a ‘24 2500 Big Horn 4x4 6.4. The Jeep just couldn’t tow the 4,000 camper fully loaded without struggling and moaning. Partially my fault for putting 35” tires and small lift without regearing. Living at high altitudes really affected the already underpowered Jeep. Our solution was to trade it for the Ram. Currently out camping and my first report is that it tows like a dream and I’m getting better MPGs than the Jeep. 9 vs 11.6 on the Ram. I do miss the Alpine stereo, hated seats and remote start. Given that the Ram has cloth seats, I can make do with just having remote start. Now I need to dig into this forum to find out what I need to do. I adjust ordered a fob with the extra buttons, I have a BT interface for JScan but I’m seeing conflicting info on the bypass cable. I have the red cable but I’m seeing another cable that connects behind the headlight switch. Which one do I need? Can I use the one I already have? Also, I already confirmed my hood latch had no wiring going to it.

Looking forward to learn from you guys. Thanks, JP

Sorry, I can't answer any of your JScan questions, just wanted to say Welcome!

Also, when you get a chance, post up some pictures; we like pictures around here.
